Accelerated Online PhD Degrees
Many of the accelerated programs are offered online. They are similar in requirements to their traditional, on campus counterpart.
The online programs will require some form of coursework, dissertation, and sometimes an internship. However, 75 to 100 credit hours of coursework is typically required.
The courses will be 100% online, but you may be required to perform a few short, on campus intensives, typically on a weekend so as not to interfere with your current commitments.
Doctorate Curriculum
The coursework part of the curriculum will take less time than a traditional program due to the condensed quarter format at most online colleges. This will allow students to get to their dissertation quicker.
From here, the amount of time it takes to complete your program will depend on you and how much time you have to devote to your research.
