Scholarships for PhD’s are becoming more valuable as the prices of education increase. A PhD candidate has two options available to them: obtain a scholarship or get a student loan. Here are some sources where you can get scholarships for PhDs.
Financial aid program – each university or college has a financial aid plan for their students. Visit your school’s financial aid office and look at all the scholarships and grants available to your major. Besides that, let your classmates and your professors know that you need financial aid and ask them for referrals in scholarships for PhDs.
Government assistance – if you are a US citizen, you can avail of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Financial assistance that will be given to you is dependent on your need, so you will have to submit proof of income. Getting a FAFSA grant is difficult because you do not need to repay this, unlike student loans.
